Are you surprised? Star Wars 3D.
Yes, again mister George Lucas is showing his emptiness. He has had no big new ideas in the past thirty years, so he is trying to raise money with his only good creation. After the HQs and the the series of animations and the books, he'll convert all Star Wars movies in 3D. The movies will be released chronologically, the first will be "The phantom menace" in theaters 2012, the others one per year, until 2017 with "The return of the Jedi". Is it bad? No, it isn't, the fans will go desperate, the theaters will be full for weeks, and if mister Lucas already did 2 billion dollars with the movies, now he'll double his money. I'm not a fan of Star Wars movies, but I respect them very much, even more, because it was the movie I saw on the first time I went to the movies, I was 6 years old. After that day I was engaged with movies, was love in first sight.
I can't say too, I'm not going to see them in 3D, because I will. What I don't like is that George Lucas is not creating nothing new, he is just recycling, and, for me, this recycling, this obsession Hollywood have on bringing back the same old story's, the same old movie, is not good to the people who work's with movie, to the people who see movies, and even to the movies itself. If George Lucas was the real genius that once was called, he would be working on something new and revolutionary, instead he's just making the cinema walk in cycles.
